Nov 29, 2007

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – (Nov. 30, 2007) – Bonnie Smith-Allen, the owner and managing broker of Exclusive Mountain Retreats Real Estate, has become the first REALTOR® from Colorado to gain admission into the National Association of REALTORS’® rarely attained REALTOR® Political Action Committee Hall of Fame.Smith-Allen joins a handful of NAR members receiving this honor in 2007. To date, only 90 REALTORS® nationwide in the NAR’s 100-year history have earned this distinction by making both the ultimate financial contribution to RPAC as well as the sacrifice of their personal time to REALTOR® associations and political issues. Smith-Allen’s name will be unveiled on a plaque on the rooftop of the National Association of REALTORS’® building in Washington D.C. at the induction ceremony during the 2008 Midyear meetings in May.Smith-Allen received the REALTOR® Political Action Committee Award at the Colorado Association of REALTORS® state convention. Members of RPAC work to raise awareness surrounding a variety of homeownership and property-rights issues. The award signifies an established history of giving by contributing time and money to causes that all REALTORS® are encouraged to support.Smith-Allen notes, “These issues are important because we represent everyone – not just the big developers or luxury buyers, but the ‘little guy’ – the first-time homebuyer who is struggling to save enough money to put a down payment on his or her first property. We can help every American realize the American dream of home ownership.”Bonnie Smith-Allen is the exclusive member of the Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents (www.regents.com) for Summit County, Colo.
